The Retro Cup Competition 2025 Rules

THE RETRO CUP PLAYING FOR THE DOUGLAS HERD DRIVING HICKORY TROPHY 1. Competitions will be played off White/Yellow/Red Tees over 18 holes - Scratch/Nett Medal Format in a Retro Style using Wooden woods and equipment pre 1985. 2. Entry via IGBook, Random Draw for Tee Times & Partners. 3. Entry Fee Payable 4. Open to all. 5. Handicap allowance will be Full Allowance with a Maximum playing HCAP of 28. 6. Normal rules will apply regarding countback etc . - Hickory clubs receive two shots off final gross score - You may use a modern golf ball but must use the 162 wound ball on all the par threes. You also get one mulligan and you have to play that ball once hit as the mulligan. - Play the ball as it lies - STRICTLY NO GPS OR LASERS ALLOWED, YOUR EYE'S ONLY GENTS. Playing for the David Herd Driving Hickory 1st & 2nd Gross Score Prize 1st Nett Prize Trophy Glass for Winner Trophy to be engraved with Winners Name Entry fee goes to a drink after play and prizes. All players are expected to stay for post round banter.
